Owpul possesses considerable girth for a flying creature, but balances it with a mostly hollow torso. The large surface area of its body coupled with its light-weight frame considerably aids its flying ability. The three seed-shaped markings on the creature’s chest are dormant eggs, which can drop off at any time. When this occurs Owpul will immediately land and nest, regardless of the surroundings. These seeds never grow back, so the creature can only produce a maximum of three young in its lifetime. Owpul can remain still for weeks at a time, which is particularly useful when nesting.

Fekite is a tree-dwelling creature that looks as if it would be more at home on the ground. Although it does not have wings, it has the ability to shift its weight around its entire body, flattening itself for perfect aerodynamic gliding. When in the air, it can use its tail as a rudder to change direction. Fekite’s diet consists mostly of pinecones, which has created a antagonistic relationship with Pinegolin.

Although still lacking teeth, its high temperature dragon breath can now instantly melt any object, rendering it edible to the creature.

Flecko glides using its thin tail and webbed toes. Although Flecko has no teeth, it can feed by scratching holes in trees to gather sap. Its flat tail is used to pack drying sap into balls, which it hoards in its nest for winter hibernation.

They attempt to avoid fire-type creatures, as their adversaries’ ability to produce light confuses them, often inadvertantly drawing them closer. It is pictured here displaying its wings in an attempt to ward off enemies.

If the creature is left to roam or was born wild, its features becomes more reptilian and can grow to three times the size of its domesticated cousins. What initially appears to be tail-feathers are in fact a reptilian frill, an indicator of the creature’s distant past and potential future.

Glidestar [26 of 151]

Unlike Flystar, the Glidestar can actually fly by oscillating its giant tail-feather. Glidestar utilises this ability as a means to find shelter high in the treetops, to areas completely inaccessible to ground dwelling creatures. After being exposed to the ambient radiation of a lunar eclipse, Glidestar evolves into Flystar.
